It is a specialized fund for establishing new palm groves and developing old ones. The fund provides soft loans to farmers for a long period; the loan repayment period is between (5-12 years) and without any service fees or interest. The loans granted by the fund are limited to these projects:

Establishing new orchards using modern irrigation method (drip irrigation).

Development of palm groves.

Establishing date warehouses.

Rehabilitation of date warehouses.

Establish or rehabilitate a date press.

Create a date store with a press.

  • The deed of the land on which the project is located or its lease contract.
  • Loan applicant’s supporting documents (civil status ID, nationality certificate).
  • A written pledge from the farmer to complete the project.
  • A letter from the Water Resources Directorate stating the availability of the project’s water share.
  • A construction permit issued by the General Authority for Horticulture and Forestry in the event of requesting a loan to establish an orchard.
  • Building permit in case of requesting a loan to establish a date warehouse with a letter of no objection from the Directorate of Agriculture.
  • Submit an economic feasibility study if the project is a date store or a press.
