It brings together more than 10,000 taxpayers, financial advisors, government officials, members of the judiciary and elite university professors from more than 90 countries around the world who are involved in and interested in the taxation of international transactions and the study of comparative tax systems.<\/p>\r\n<h3><strong>About <\/strong><strong>the Canadian International Finance Association<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n<p>Founded in 1938,<strong> the Canadian International Finance Association<\/strong> is a neutral, independent, non-profit organization, free from international pressure from institutions or governments. Over the years, it has become one of the most important bodies concerned with studying international tax laws, accounting software standards, and economic initiatives that affect the movement of trade and investment.<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>The Canadian International Finance Association\u2019s<\/strong> main branch in Canada currently has approximately 650 members and is the cornerstone of the programs and studies that are conducted in conjunction with the association\u2019s annual conference. The Canadian branch also organizes seminars on current international tax developments and provides financial support for studies at Canadian universities.<\/p>\r\n<h3><strong>Canadian International Finance Association<\/strong> Objectives<\/h3>\r\n<p><strong>The Canadian International Finance Association<\/strong> seeks, through its annual conferences and the scientific publications it issues periodically, to achieve a number of goals, including:<\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Study and development of international and comparative law.<\/li>\r\n<li>Discussing ways and developments in public financing policies.<\/li>\r\n<li>Research aspects of international and comparative tax law.<\/li>\r\n<li>Research the financial and economic aspects of taxes.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p>Representatives of all professions, researchers, scholars, and those interested in the financial and tax field can meet during seminars and meetings organized by the <strong>Canadian International Finance Association<\/strong>, to discuss tax issues, and follow international developments at the highest level.
