The need for a formal organization to carry out statistical functions and coordinate activities among all Chinese statisticians and scholars in the field of statistics led to the establishment of <strong>The International Chinese Statistical Association<\/strong>\u00a0at a conference held in Chicago in 1986. It was also decided at the same meeting to establish an internal statistical journal to serve the members of the association, and a committee was formed in 1987 to propose a draft constitution and bylaws to support the association in achieving its goals.<\/p>\r\n<h3><strong>Objectives of The International Chinese Statistical Association<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n<p><strong>The International Chinese Statistical <\/strong>Association has more than 1000 active members.
